Banna Sea Rescue
Banna Sea Rescue Unit was established in 1983 following two tragic drowning accidents. It is a totally voluntary community-based organisation whose purpose is to provide search and rescue services as well as teaching safety awareness at the boathouse in Banna. The Unit operates under strict protocols and all its members are fully trained having completed Irish Coast Guard & Irish Water Safety Association courses.
The support from the JP McManus Benevolent Fund has:
- Allowed the Banna Sea Rescue Unit to replace its rescue boat.
